Coronavirus statistics released by the State Serum Institute on Wednesday showed that 3,017 people were infected with the coronavirus in the past 24 hours, the highest number since December 23, 2020.
The number of coronavirus patients hospitalized in the past 24 hours has increased by four cases to reach 319 patients, and three new deaths from the virus were recorded during the same period.
The figures also show that a total of 144,344 coronavirus tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, a significant increase compared to previous days.
The percentage of positive tests was 2.08% out of the total tests during the aforementioned period.
