Additional funds are on their way to families with children; here are the details.

According to the parliamentary agreement on inflation assistance, January will be the month in which financial benefits are increased for certain segments of the population.

In addition to the elderly pensioners who will receive 2,000 tax-free kroner this month, there is also additional money for families with children who receive the usual quarterly child allowance checks (details of the amounts are below).

On January 20th of this year, the so-called child benefit for 2023 will be paid. Unlike last year, this amount has increased due to inflation. Child benefits will increase by a total of 660 Danish kroner in 2023, and this payment will be made on January 20th. In addition to this lump sum of 660 Danish kroner, child benefits in general will also increase slightly this year. In 2022, the amounts paid to children, according to their age, were as follows:

0 – 2 years: 18,612 Danish kroner per year

3-6 years: 14,724 Danish kroner per year

7-14 years: 11,592 Danish kroner per year

From 15 to 17 years old: 11,592 Danish kroner per year.

However, in the current year 2023, the allocations will be as follows:

0 – 2 years: 18,984 Danish kroner per year

From 3 to 6 years: 15,024 Danish kroner per year

From 7 to 14 years old: 11,820 Danish kroner per year

From 15 to 17 years old: 11,820 Danish kroner per year

This year, these financial entitlements will be paid as usual on January 20, April 20, July 20 and October 20.
