Many Danish supermarkets are currently facing high demand for cooking oil, prompting major chains such as Salling Group and Rema 1000 to limit the amount that can be purchased per customer in order to avoid hoarding.
In the case of Salling Group, there is a special type of sunflower oil where customers can now purchase up to a maximum of three bottles at a time.
Rema 1000 also placed restrictions on the purchase of cooking oil.

It is not known how long the rationing will continue in the group's stores, which applies to the number of bottles of sunflower oil that a customer can buy in the Føtex, Netto and Bilka chains.
