An angry man throws a shopping cart off a bridge over a railway track in Copenhagen.

BT reported an incident in which a man with a shopping cart full of drink bottles – possibly returning them to the store – threw it off a bridge and down onto the railway tracks at Vesterport station in Copenhagen on Sunday morning.

Police arrested the man and charged him, according to Copenhagen Police Chief Dyer Soniksen, the source said.

The officer added that after the shopping cart fell onto the tracks, it was hit by a train shortly afterward.

According to the officer, the incident occurred after the man became angry at the Netto store in Kampmannsgade, near the station.

According to BT, the train itself was not seriously damaged, and train traffic was only briefly disrupted before resuming, according to a statement issued by the DSB to the media. Police are currently conducting further investigations into the incident.
