A gas company refunds a total of 77 million kronor to its customers.

Good news is coming for many customers of the gas company Norlys, as they will receive a total of 77 million Danish kroner which the company will reimburse to a group of its customers.
This is due to the fact that many of the gas company’s customers received high gas bills during the fall that included amounts for prepayment, which upset many customers, but the good news today is that the extra money paid by the customer without being consumed in gas will be refunded.
Overall, Norlys received 77 million Danish kroner more than it should have, which will soon be repaid to its owners.
According to Mads Brüger, the company's energy business manager, some customers will receive refunds of more than 20,000 Danish kroner, while others will receive only 100 kroner. This is because the amount of money refunded depends on the length of time the customer has been billed and how much gas they have saved. On average, eligible customers will receive a refund of 4,200 Danish kroner.
According to the manager, after the increase in amounts due in the fall, Norlys offered customers the possibility of an additional meter reading. As a result, the company received exceptional readings for nearly 19,000 customers, who will soon receive an accounting statement from the company. While a few hundred of these customers will have to pay additional amounts based on the meter reading, the rest of the customers will get their money back. This will eliminate the panic at the time of payment that many gas customers felt because they paid bills that, in many cases, increased to more than double compared to the previous year, according to the manager.
The manager notes that the money was recovered as a result of customers saving on gas consumption at the same time that the relatively warm winter also led to lower gas prices than expected during the fall.
