The spokeswoman said, “The Danish and Swedish authorities have expressed extreme reluctance to cooperate with Russia on this issue (the Nord Stream gas leak incident), despite the official appeal made by Russian Federation Prime Minister Mikhail Misghitsyn to the heads of government of these countries.”.

She continued, saying: “They are afraid to allow Russia to participate in the investigation. They are afraid that the world will discover what they have been doing all these years, what it led to, and who is behind the manipulation of the world’s energy markets.”.

Earlier in October, Swedish prosecutor Mats Ljungqvist stated, according to Swedish television SVT, that the explosions that damaged the Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipelines and caused gas leaks were due to deliberate sabotage, according to the initial investigation into the leaks on the two gas pipelines extending from Russia to Germany via Bornholm.
