According to TV2, six children were hospitalized Wednesday evening in the town of Allerød, north of Copenhagen, after consuming what turned out to be gummy vitamins called vingummier, which were later found to contain THC, the psychoactive substance found in the cannabis plant.
Finding candy in a gym bag
According to the North Zealand Police (Nordsjællands Politi), the children, aged between 6 and 12, came across a bag of sweets in a forest in the Teglskoven area. The sweets were found inside a North Face sports bag placed next to rubbish containers.
After a number of children consumed this candy without knowing its contents, they were immediately taken to the hospital, according to the Danish website Ekstra Bladet.
Four children remain under medical observation

According to sources, the police stated that they received the report on Wednesday evening, specifically at around 19:30. Several ambulances were dispatched to the scene, while the police did not clarify whether all six children had consumed the candy or not.

ووجهت شرطة شمال شيلاند نداءً مباشراً إلى أولياء الأمور بعد الحادثة، داعيةً إياهم إلى التحدث مع أطفالهم حول خطورة تناول أشياء لا يعرفون مصدرها أو مكوناتها. وقالت الشرطة: “من المهم أن يتعلم الأطفال ألا يأكلوا أي شيء ما لم يكونوا متأكدين تماماً مما يحتويه”.
