The leader of the largest party in the Blue Bloc, in government negotiations with Mette Frederiksen: “Now I want to go in and build my trust in her.”

Negotiations to form a new government continue today in Marienburg, the headquarters of Acting Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, who is tasked with forming the new government. The Liberal Party (the largest party in the Blue Bloc – the right-wing opposition in the previous government) arrived at 2:00 pm on Monday to conduct negotiations with the Social Democrats, headed by Mette Frederiksen. Liberal Party leader Jakob Ellemann-Jensen stated before entering the negotiating room that today's negotiations will focus on the economy, the welfare state, and reforms in the health sector.
When asked whether his trust in Mette Frederiksen had been repaired, after he had repeatedly stated before the election that he did not trust her and that he refused to be part of a government with Mette Frederiksen, he replied: “Trust is something you have to build. We are working on it, so now I want to go in and build trust and have a discussion about the economy.”.
Later today, SF will attend the negotiations at 6 pm.
