The public holiday Pinsedag, which falls on Monday, June 5, could cause heavy traffic and long queues on the roads on Friday afternoon, according to the Danish news agency Ritzau, citing the Directorate of Roads.

More specifically, increased traffic to and from sommerhuse holiday home areas is expected, particularly in holiday home areas along the west coast of Leyland and in northern Zealand.

Pinsedag is the Feast of Pentecost, a Christian holiday celebrated fifty days after Easter, according to Christian beliefs.
