According to BT, the Danish Energy Agency lowered the alert level from orange to yellow, nine days after raising it to orange, according to the committee's response on TV 2: "The alert level was raised based on the overall threat picture and after drones were spotted near energy infrastructure."“

According to the source, the relevant authorities assessed the two incidents, and based on that, the Danish Energy Agency conducted a professional emergency assessment and reduced the risk level to medium, according to what the agency told the media.

When the level was raised one degree nine days ago, it came after a week in which drones were spotted several times over various airports and military sites in Denmark.

Climate, Energy and Utilities Minister Lars Aegard said the move was taken on the basis of a comprehensive assessment of the risk profile facing Denmark, where threats to energy supplies could become a reality, but now the level can be lowered slightly.

The sectoral alert level consists of five escalating levels: white, green, yellow, orange and red.

Under normal circumstances, the alert level is white, yellow indicates a medium threat level, orange indicates a high threat level, and the highest level, red, represents a "very high threat".

At the orange level, safety requirements for energy facilities have been tightened, requiring additional monitoring and limited access to energy infrastructure.

The last time the government raised the alert level for the energy sector to orange was when the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline broke, causing a massive methane leak in September 2022.
