Denmark ranks first globally in racial equality and child-rearing, according to a new global report.
Denmark ranked first in quality of life in a US News & World Report in partnership with the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, released on Tuesday, which considered quality of life to be comprised of 10 key factors.
Denmark ranked first in quality of life as well as social standing. The OECD's Better Life Index ranked Denmark ahead of many of its peers in education, employment, civic engagement, and social relationships.
Denmark is one of the best countries in raising children and racial equality.
Denmark, with a GDP per capita of $76,688, also topped the list of best countries for raising children and racial equality, ranked second for women, and ranked seventh for comfortable retirement.
The rankings took into account factors such as affordability, job and political stability, quality of healthcare, and individual freedom. Scandinavian countries dominated the list, with Sweden, Norway, and Finland all ranking among the top ten. The list, from first to tenth place, is as follows:
