Starting Sunday, November 30th, and every Sunday for the remainder of 2025, travel on the S-Train will be free all day long. Simply download a voucher from the DSB app to enjoy completely free travel throughout the day.
Through this offer, DSB wants to spread the Christmas spirit among customers and show what the S train can do on a Sunday – when the holidays are just around the corner.
Charlotte Kiaroff, customer service manager at DSB, stated: “S trains run at a high frequency throughout the year, and you can probably forget about this possibility. We would like to compensate for this by inviting people inside for the rest of the year when most passengers are on holiday.”.
To ride S trains for free on one or more of the five Sundays, you must have the DSB app and a DSB Plus account. Here you can activate the voucher, which allows you to ride an S train all day Sunday.
If you're going for Christmas lunch on Saturday and can make it until midnight, the return journey will be easy. Regardless of the purpose of your trip, we hope to see plenty of people on our S trains, which we're lengthening to make room for passengers. This could be for one of the many Christmas events or some other event in December, according to Charlotte Kerolf.

Here's how to ride the S train for free on five Sundays from November 30 to December 28, 2025:
Download the DSB app on your phone and subscribe to the DSB Plus program. Activate your trip voucher from the "Benefits" section of the DSB Plus program.
The offer applies only to travel on all DSB S train lines.
The flight must be between 12:00 midnight on Saturday (early Sunday morning) and 23:59 on Sunday evening. During this period, you can travel for as long as you wish.
The voucher is personal and cannot be transferred to others.
Children and young people under the age of 15 are allowed to travel free of charge without using the DSB/DSB Plus app when presenting their ID card.
One adult is allowed to bring two children under the age of 12 on one voucher.
