
A tax-free payment of 2,000 Danish kroner is currently on its way to 300,000 Danes receiving one of the pension categories listed below: førtidspension, seniorpension, tidlig pension, efterløn eller fleksydelse, according to a press release from the Ministry of Employment.

As for Categories that are not entitled to receive the additional amount The categories mentioned are: flexjob, kontanthjælp, ressourceforløb, ledihhedsydelse, uddannelseshjælp, sygedagpenge, SU. (For public sector retirees, see the last paragraph of the article)
The total tax-free amount of 2,000 Danish kroner will be paid to people who in March 2022 received, in whole or in part, one of the above-mentioned forms of pension, as a one-time assistance payment due to rising energy prices.
No one has to apply for the amount, but the target groups and the recipients themselves should monitor whether the money has been paid. The amount will be deposited into NemKonto without sending any message to the recipient. The payment date was announced on Friday as January 10th.
The payment will also be made to people who received a pension from one of the categories mentioned but moved after March 2022 to another pension, for example, the national pension (folkepension), or if they started working. Therefore, the decisive factor is that you were entitled to one of the pensions mentioned above in March 2022.
Therefore, people who were not entitled in March 2022 to one of the mentioned pension categories will not be paid the additional amount (2000 kronor).

Do public sector (government) retirees receive money?
State pensioners cannot receive a lump sum of 2,000 Danish kroner, but if you are a government pensioner you are entitled to an old-age check, as an additional tax-free old-age check of 2,500 Danish kroner was paid on January 5th.
