Jews from Denmark, Sweden, and Norway condemn the burning of the Quran in a joint statement; this is what it said.

The Jews of Denmark, Sweden and Norway published a joint statement in English strongly condemning the burning of the Quran. According to the statement, democracy is being exploited to “normalize hatred against Muslims.”.
The statement condemns and denounces the burning of the Quran.
The Jews of the Nordic countries (Denmark, Norway, and Sweden) expressed their deep concern about the recent burning of the Quran: “We are very concerned about the recent developments in our country… The number of attacks on minorities such as Jews and Muslims has increased and become commonplace in recent years.”.
Joint statement: Increased attacks on Muslim and Jewish minorities
The message from the Jews of the three Nordic countries comes after Danish-Swedish right-wing activist Rasmus Paludan recently organized Quran burnings in both Denmark and Sweden, which angered Muslims in both countries and abroad.
According to TV2, this led, for example, to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemning Sweden’s acceptance into the Western defense alliance NATO after Swedish authorities allowed the burning of the Quran.
According to the Jews of the Nordic countries, the number of attacks on minorities such as Jews and Muslims has increased in recent years: “Our tragic European history has taught us that burning books often signals the beginning of the normalization of hatred against a group in society. Historically against Jews and currently against Muslims,” the joint statement said, adding that any act or sign of prejudice and hatred is unacceptable.
The statement was signed by Det Jødiske Samfund in Denmark, Det Mosaiske Trossamfund in Norway, Judiska Centralrådet i Sverige and Amanah in Sweden, a Jewish-Muslim partnership in Sweden.
