The Ministry of Foreigners and Integration has just released a statement regarding the Ministry's intention to establish a new center to strengthen efforts against negative social control, and this is what it said:
Establishing a new center to combat negative social control and honor-related conflicts will help strengthen efforts across authorities and increase knowledge of the area.
The government wants to focus more on how to eliminate negative social control, so that both children and adults of immigrant origin enjoy the same rights and freedoms as everyone else in Danish society.

Negative social control can occur within the family, among children and young people both during and outside of school hours, in the workplace, and elsewhere. Therefore, strengthening the overall coordination framework would be beneficial, and the new center should ensure this.
The center’s area of particular priority work next year will be children and young people, who are often victims of negative social control and honor-related conflicts.

Minister for Immigration and Integration Kar Dipvad stated:
