صرحت رئيسة الوزراء الدنماركية ميته فريدريكسن بأن “القيود الحالية وإدارة أزمة كورونا بشكل عام بحاجة إلى إعادة النظر”، مبررة ذلك بارتفاع معدلات الاستشفاء لمرضى العناية المركزة في الدنمارك وذلك على الرغم من معدلات الإصابة اليومية المرتفعة بفايروس كورونا. وقوبل هذا التصريح بارتياح عام وترحيب من قبل الأحزاب البرلمانية، وذلك وفقاً لموقع TV2.
The Prime Minister did not clarify the government's plans for how to deal with Corona in Denmark in the future, nor did she specify when the country could reopen further or return to normal and end Corona restrictions.

ويريد الحزب الليبرالي الفنستره على سبيل المثال العودة إلى الدنمارك التي نعرفها قبل أزمة كورونا والتخلي عن الإجراءات والقيود الحالية، حيث صرح متحدث الصحة في الحزب مارتن جيرتسن للمصدر بالقول “في بداية شهر فبراير/شباط سيتعين علينا أن نقرر ما إذا كان ينبغي أن يستمر تصنيف كورونا في كونه مرضاً خطيراً اجتماعياً، وأعتقد تدريجياً أن الحجج بدأت تتضاءل قليلاً، لأن الضغط على الخدمات الصحية بسبب كورونا وخاصة على وحدات العناية المركزة آخذ في التناقص بشكل كبير”.
In the same context, officials from other parties commented that we must learn how to live with Corona and remove the special situation imposed by this disease today and develop a long-term strategy to deal with Corona as a disease similar to the situation of the flu, where treatment is provided to the group that needs it without disrupting institutions, companies and businesses, in addition to changing the system of conducting Corona tests and allocating the test to certain groups according to need instead of the huge numbers that include all groups as is the case today, which costs the state a large budget, and thus stop using Coronapas in the future.
Accordingly, the proposed strategies are expected to be discussed in the Danish Parliament in the near future.
