
A truck crashed through the safety barrier between the Brande Nord and Brande Ø exits and fell into the Skjern Å canal. The accident on Sunday morning caused a partial closure of the Midtjyske Motorvej road towards Vejle.
The driver escaped with minor injuries.
According to police in the Midt-og-Vestjylland region, the truck caught fire after overturning. However, several people managed to pull the driver from the wreckage before the flames spread. Emergency crews were able to control and extinguish the fire, while work continued to secure the site and repair the damaged safety barrier that had caused a temporary closure. Later, one lane was reopened to traffic, but congestion persisted in the affected area.
