The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on Saturday expressing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s strong condemnation and displeasure at the failure to take the necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of attacks on Islamic holy sites, the latest of which was the burning of a copy of the Holy Quran and the raising of slogans of hatred and racism against Islam and Muslims in front of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Copenhagen.
In the statement, the ministry expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s strongest condemnation of acts inciting violence and hatred against religions. At the same time, it warned against the repetition of these provocative acts that offend the feelings of millions of Muslims around the world, which constitute a flagrant violation of all international laws and norms, according to the statement.
كما أعلنت الحكومة الدنماركية يوم أمس أيضاً عن إدانة حرق المصحف عبر بيان صادر عن وزارة الخارجية الدنماركية باسم الحكومة ورد فيه: “إن حرق النصوص المقدسة والرموز الدينية الأخرى عمل مخزٍ لا يحترم دين الآخرين. إنه عمل استفزازي يؤذي الكثير من الناس ويخلق الانقسام بين الأديان والثقافات المختلفة. تتمتع الدنمارك بحرية الدين والعديد من المواطنين الدنماركيين مسلمون. إنهم جزء مهم من السكان الدنماركيين. تؤكد الدنمارك على وجوب احترام حرية التعبير وحرية التجمع. تؤيد الدنمارك الحق في الاحتجاج لكنها تؤكد أنه يجب أن يظل سلمياً”.
