After a 5-year hiatus: The Queen appears on the palace balcony to greet the Danes on this date

The Queen of Denmark is still in the rehabilitation and recovery phase following recent back surgery, and the Royal Household announced in a press release Tuesday morning that Queen Margrethe is expected to resume her royal duties on her 83rd birthday on April 16.

“وبهذه المناسبة ستظهر جلالة الملكة والعائلة المالكة على شرفات قصر كريستيان التاسع في أمالينبورج Amalienborg عند الساعة 12:00 ظهراً”، بحسب البيت الملكي.

It is worth noting that the last time the Queen celebrated from the balcony of Amalienborg Palace was five years ago, when thousands of Danes and their children lined up to greet the Queen, waving Danish flags in celebration of the Queen's birthday.

The Royal Household stated that the Queen's rehabilitation is progressing well, but she will not be able to complete all planned royal duties in the coming months.
