An estimated 10,000 Shia Muslims in Denmark participated in an Ashura procession in Copenhagen on Saturday, carrying copies of the Quran in a unique display of solidarity following recent Quran burnings in Denmark, according to TV2, which published a news article about the event. TV2 interviewed Murtaza Al-Shawi, one of the young organizers, briefly to discuss the demands of Danish Muslims regarding the Quran burning crisis. The procession lasted for over half an hour and was protected by Danish police. These are some photos taken by activist Haj Ali Alwan in Copenhagen.
