The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace condemns the renewed Israeli airstrikes on Gaza.

His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, on behalf of the Council, its members, and partners worldwide, strongly condemned the renewed Israeli airstrikes targeting the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the killing and wounding of hundreds of innocent Palestinians, in flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreement reached last January. He emphasized that targeting civilians and using excessive force against them constitutes a blatant breach of international law and all humanitarian norms, and represents an attempt to impose conditions on the international will by force, which is completely unacceptable.
The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace affirmed its unwavering commitment to supporting just and lasting peace processes, reiterating its call for an immediate cessation of all hostilities, the provision of full protection for civilians, and support for reconstruction efforts in the Gaza Strip. In this context, the Council’s statement referred to the resolutions issued by the twelfth session of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace, held at the beginning of this month in Geneva, which stressed the need to support the truce in Gaza and to complete the negotiation process leading to a permanent and just solution to the Palestinian issue through the two-state solution, in accordance with relevant international charters and resolutions.
The Council also stressed the importance of activating the provisions of the Global Charter for Peace, issued by the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace at its eleventh session in the Cambodian capital, Phnom Penh, at the end of November 2024. The Charter calls for adopting dialogue and peaceful negotiation as a means to achieve peace, and rejects all forms of violence, fighting and wars as means to resolve crises.
Al-Jarwan said that we call on the international community to assume its moral and humanitarian responsibilities, and to play an active role in stopping the escalation, preventing the recurrence of violations, and working hard to achieve a comprehensive peace that preserves the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and establishes a future of justice and stability in the region and the world.
