“The World Organization for Tolerance and Peace strongly condemns the burning of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza.

The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, chaired by His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, strongly condemned the heinous crime committed by the Israeli occupation forces in burning down Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza, stressing that this brutal act, which violates the most basic rules of international humanitarian law, represents a blatant attack on human rights and an unjustified targeting of medical institutions that provide essential humanitarian services to civilians.
The council stated in a statement issued today that targeting hospitals and places protected under international humanitarian law constitutes a war crime according to the Geneva Conventions.
He stressed the need for the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibility to stop the repeated violations that threaten the lives of innocent people and destroy infrastructure in the Palestinian territories, noting that about 90 schools and educational institutions in Gaza have become out of service.
The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace called on all international actors and human rights and humanitarian organizations to take immediate action to condemn this criminal act and hold its perpetrators accountable, in addition to providing the necessary protection for the Palestinian people and their civil institutions, including hospitals and medical centers.
The Council affirmed its unwavering commitment to supporting efforts for peace, tolerance, and justice, stressing the need to strengthen international solidarity to achieve peace and end the occupation, which is the root cause of the ongoing suffering of the Palestinian people. It called for the urgent provision of humanitarian assistance to those affected in the Gaza Strip and renewed the commitment to the highest humanitarian values that seek to build a more tolerant and peaceful world for all.
