According to TV2, an agreement has been reached on the 2026 budget between the Danish government and the Conservative Party (Det Konservative Folkeparti), in a move described as politically "remarkable".<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The agreement came after the Conservative Party decided to withdraw from the right-wing alliance known as the \u201cBlue Coalition\u201d and sit down at the negotiating table with the government, which observers considered a breakthrough in the ranks of the right-wing opposition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Ministry of Finance stated that a press conference will be held at 1:00 PM today, with the participation of Finance Minister Nicolai Wammen (from the Social Democratic Party, S), Economy Minister Stephanie Lose (from the Venstre Party, V), Culture Minister Jakob Engel-Schmidt (from the Moderate Party, M), and Conservative Party leader Mona Juul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Deferring taxes on electric cars and increasing discounts for senior workers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n TV2 reported that the agreement included a number of important economic and social provisions, most notably postponing the imposition of taxes on electric cars to a later year after 2026, which will cost the state treasury about 1.3 billion Danish kroner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The agreement also stipulates an increase in the retirement discount for older workers. Currently, the discount is granted two years before the official retirement age, but after the agreement, it will be granted five years before retirement, at an estimated cost of one billion kronor annually. working seniors, or as it is called in the Danish text besk\u00e6ftigelsesfradrag for seniorer, means a tax exemption or reduction granted to elderly people who are still working before reaching the official retirement age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In other words, it is a financial incentive provided by the government to encourage older people to remain in the labor market instead of retiring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the case reported by TV2, this discount is currently granted two years before reaching the official retirement age, but according to the new agreement between the government and the Conservative Party, this exemption will be extended to include five years before retirement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This means that the worker will start to benefit from this tax deduction before he actually becomes
