These rules typically limit the deficit to 3% of GDP and public debt to 60% of GDP.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allowing the use of EU infrastructure funds to finance defense purchases, instead of directing them solely towards reducing economic and social disparities between EU regions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Providing 150 billion euros in loans to member states to jointly finance arms and defense equipment purchases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-01efdfc2fa306ba6a362c6b8c45b085e\"><strong>Denmark has allocated billions to strengthen its defense, and this has an impact on Danes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was preceded by Denmark announcing plans to strengthen its defense capabilities at the local level. In February 2025, Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen stated that the government would allocate an additional 50 billion Danish kroner (about 6.7 billion euros) to defense spending over the next two years, with the aim of strengthening the country&#039;s security in the face of growing threats.
