<\/a>Politicians want to lower the customs exemption limits to put an end to cheap parcels coming from China, which are considered abnormally low and give Danish companies an unfair advantage in competition. However, in the future, ordering parcels from Chinese e-commerce sites like Temu may become slightly more expensive, according to the source.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Current customs limit<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Currently, the value of a parcel must reach 1,150 Danish kroner before customs duties are paid on parcels coming from China, for example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But the soon-to-be-elected European Parliament will have to decide on a proposal to remove customs borders for parcels sent outside the European Union, meaning that an agreement may be reached on requiring EU residents to pay customs duties on all or most of their purchases coming from China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Among the candidates supporting this is the main candidate of the Enhedslisten party, Per Clausen, who believes that the limit for paying customs duties should be reduced or removed altogether: \u201cThe amount you have today is too high.
