Copenhagen police have announced they are preparing for a major operation targeting debtors referred to enforcement court \u2013 individuals who are taken to court for failing to pay a bill to any government or private entity. According to the police, every year there are quite a few people who do not reach the sunny weather in southern Europe but end up in prison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On March 30, Copenhagen police are planning a major operation targeting wanted debtors, and in this regard, Anders Allslev is sending a strong warning to debtors who have not settled their affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The warning stated: \u201cIf you owe money and are summoned to court, and then fail to appear for the hearing regarding your debt, you will be searched. This means, for example, that you could face arrest and then a court appearance if you attempt to leave the country for a holiday. Make sure you pay the amount owed or reach an agreement with the bailiff on how to settle the debt to avoid being caught by officers at home, at your workplace, or stopped at the airport on your way to the gate. You also risk spending the night in Vestre F\u00e6ngsel if you are caught outside of court hours.
