According to Danish media, Denmark will provide emergency aid to Turkey and Syria following the devastating earthquakes that struck both countries on Monday. As an initial contribution, Denmark has donated 10 million kroner in emergency aid through the Danish Refugee Council and Save the Children, according to a tweet from the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs by Minister for Development Cooperation Dan J\u00f8rgensen. The minister told the Danish news agency Ritzau, "We are hearing about the rising death toll, and unfortunately, it looks like it may increase further in the coming days. We ourselves are very concerned about providing as much assistance as we can.".<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Danish aid will be used to provide water, food and tents to those affected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Danish Foreign Minister Lars L\u00f8kke Rasmussen stated, \u201cIn such a situation, it is important that Denmark\u2019s alliances come to the fore.
