The number of company bankruptcies in Denmark rose to a record high in November 2022, with 331 companies with employees going bankrupt, according to a calculation based on information from Statstidende carried out by eStatistik for the business association SMEVdanmark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This record figure is attributed to several reasons, including that many companies are still paying off Corona debts, and at the same time electricity and heating prices are rising while consumers' purchasing power is at rock bottom, according to consultant Lasse Lundqvist at SMEDanmark, who added that this level is alarming and that one of the consequences is that unemployment will rise and we will have some "sad" pedestrian streets because many shops will close and cease operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The sectors most affected are companies operating in the fields of construction, trade, services, and the hotel and restaurant industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
