A 36-year-old Swedish man died Friday evening after being shot multiple times in the Vesterbrogade area of Copenhagen, Denmark. Police suspect the shooting on Friday in Vesterbro, Copenhagen, is related to the gang environment, according to a statement by Deputy Police Inspector Lars Ole Carlsen of the Copenhagen Police at a press conference at the police station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to police, two young men shot the Swedish man\u2014who was known to them\u2014on a busy street at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Friday. The man was taken by ambulance to Rigshospitalet, where he later died. The deputy police inspector explained that the Swedish man had \u201ca certain connection to the Copenhagen gang environment.\u201d No arrests have yet been made in the case. Police suspect the shooting may be related to gang revenge, as several shootings occurred in Copenhagen and the western region within a few days at the beginning of December 2021. Police have been unable to identify which gangs they believe may be involved in the shooting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two young men were seen fleeing the crime scene in the direction of Oehlenschl\u00e6gersgade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Friday night, i.e., Thursday evening, a fire broke out in a hair salon in Islevbrovej in R\u00f8dovre, where three young men were later arrested. This is the same hair salon where a shooting took place on December 3, 2021, in which a 17-year-old boy was killed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Copenhagen police, it cannot be ruled out that Friday's murder may be linked to the case in R\u00f8dovre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
