A 22-year-old man died from gunshot wounds in Brøndby on Tuesday.

A 22-year-old man died after being shot multiple times on Tuesday in Hallingparken in Brøndby, on the outskirts of Copenhagen, according to police in the western part of the capital.

The police received the report at 13:13 on Tuesday afternoon, and went to the scene of the incident and provided first aid to the young man, who was then taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead and his family was notified.

وصرح مدير الشرطة كيم كريستيانسن في بيان صحفي صادر عن شرطة غربيّ العاصمة بأنه لا يزال “من السابق لأوانه” تحديد ما إذا كانت الحادثة الأخيرة على صلة بالحوادث السابقة التي حدثت مؤخراً، ولكن التحقيقات مستمرة لمعرفة ذلك.

Eyewitnesses saw two people fleeing the scene immediately after the shooting. One of them was described as being 170-180 centimeters tall, under 30 years old, wearing dark clothing, and not of Danish origin. 

Regarding the investigation, a person was arrested but later released, and the investigation is still ongoing to determine whether the person is connected to the incident.

Police have set up a temporary station near the crime scene where witnesses to the shooting can contact and speak with the police.
In addition, a large number of police patrols were present in the area.
