The official spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Egyptian Foreign Minister received a call from his Danish counterpart Lars Løkke Rasmussen on Friday afternoon, during which Rasmussen confirmed the Danish government’s rejection of the incidents of burning the Holy Quran in Denmark, and that it is taking measures to prevent their recurrence.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry called for decisive action against the perpetrators of these heinous crimes, as they offend the feelings of millions of Muslims and contradict the values of human rights and peaceful coexistence, according to a tweet by the official spokesman of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday afternoon.
كما نشرت أيضاً وزارة الخارجية الدنماركية أيضاً تغريدة على لسان وزير الخارجية الدنماركي لارس لوكه راسموسن ورد فيها: “مكالمة هاتفية جيدة مع وزير الخارجية المصري شكري حول التطورات الحالية وعلاقاتنا الثنائية الوثيقة وتكرار إدانة الدنمارك لحرق القرآن. نستطلع حالياً إمكانيات التدخل في المواقف الخاصة. لا يمكننا أن ندع هذه الأعمال تقسم مجتمعاتنا “.
