A Russian hacking group has claimed responsibility for a cyberattack on Denmark's National Bank and other Danish banks, according to Danish media.
Danmarks Nationalbank was hit by a cyberattack on Monday and Tuesday, which also affected the ability of a number of users to access their bank accounts on electronic devices. Meanwhile, the websites of a number of banks, including Jyske Bank and Sydbank, were unavailable on Tuesday.
Despite the cyberattacks, they did not affect Danmarks Nationalbank's central systems or day-to-day operations, which are an important part of Denmark's financial infrastructure.
