Some passengers who landed at Copenhagen Airport on Friday evening faced the prospect of long waits before they could disembark, according to airport spokesperson Lars Lemche, as reported by TV2, due to strong winds. The airport is attempting to move aircraft to shelter positions from the wind, but this is not possible for all planes.
Overall, there were many delays and cancellations at the airport on Friday evening, and staff had prepared water and blankets for travelers who had to stay longer than expected at the airport and possibly overnight.
