A 32-year-old man was stabbed at Jyllingevej station in Vanløse on Thursday morning and was seriously injured. Three people have been arrested and charged with attempted murder, according to Copenhagen police.
The three detainees are Polish citizens, like the victim.
According to Copenhagen police, they do not currently assess that there is a link to the recent stabbings in the capital.
Train traffic is currently affected, particularly on the S-train C line between Frederikssund and Husum on Thursday morning and between Klampenborg and Vanløse/Valby.
Police have not yet specified when work at the station will be completed.
Eyewitnesses saw the perpetrators fleeing, and TV2 contacted eyewitness Frederik Vestergaard, who was present at the station during the incident. He was with some friends when he saw the victim and the perpetrator. Frederik Vestergaard and his friends witnessed a fight break out between the two men, who were clearly armed with knives. There was also a woman present. According to Frederik Vestergaard, the three involved spoke a language similar to that of Eastern Europe.
Frederik Westergaard said there were quite a few people at the station when the stabbing occurred at around 7:30 a.m., and that the suspected perpetrator and the woman then fled the scene.
