Just a few days ago, following Thursday's negotiations on forming a government with Mette Frederiksen, who is tasked with forming the new Danish government, the founder and leader of the Moderate Party, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, confirmed that he wanted to be in a broad government led by the Social Democrats and clearly warned against forming the new government with only the Venstre Liberal Party. He explained that the new government should be responsible for reforms and should include a larger number of parties, not just the Social Democrats and the Venstre Liberals.
It is worth noting that the negotiations entered a new phase last Wednesday when Enhedslisten and Alternativ (red parties that supported the previous government) were excluded from forming the new government, and the New Bourgeois Party (Nye Borgerlige) and the Danmarksdemokraterne (blue right-wing parties) will not join the new government.
