Travel restrictions tightened for flights arriving in Denmark from airports in two Arab cities: test or fine

As part of the Danish health authorities’ efforts to limit and delay the spread of the new variant Omikron, stricter testing requirements will be applied when it comes to travel to Denmark.

Under the new rule, all passengers arriving from two major Gulf airports will be required to undergo a coronavirus test upon arrival in Denmark, and isolation rules will be tightened, according to the Ministry of Health.

This condition currently applies to travelers arriving from Doha Airport and Dubai Airport, and if the person refuses to take the test, they will face a fine.

Doha Airport and Dubai Airport were chosen because they are the two main airports where travelers from South Africa stop during transit, as they are considered a hub for travelers from South Africa.
