عقدت السلطات الصحية الدنماركية مؤتمراً صفحياً اليوم الجمعة وذلك بعد إعلان وكالة الأدوية الأوروبية EMA أمس الخميس عن موافقة الوكالة على لقاح فايزر للأطفال في الفئة العمرية 5 – 11 عاماً، ووفقاً لنائبة مدير مديرية الصحة العامة هيلين بروبست فإن المديرية توصي حالياً بتطعيم الأطفال الذين تتراوح أعمارهم بين 5 و 11 عاماً بلقاح كورونا.
ففيما تزداد العدوى في المجتمع الدنماركي إلا أنها تزداد بشكل خاص بين الأطفال. وبحسب بروبست فإن اللقاحات هي “الأداة الحاسمة” للحفاظ على المجتمع منفتحاً.
وفي وقت مبكر من يوم الخميس أوصت هيئة الصحة والأدوية الدنماركية بأن يتلقى جميع الدنماركيين الذين تزيد أعمارهم عن 18 عاماً حقنة ثالثة من اللقاح، لكن وفقاً لهيلين بروبست فإن ذلك لا يكفي لإبقاء الوباء تحت السيطرة، فهناك حاجة إلى منع انتقال العدوى من الأبناء إلى الأبوين إلى الأجداد.
