A shooting occurred in the Nordvest area of Copenhagen, prompting a large police presence.

Copenhagen police received a report of gunfire around 8:50 p.m. on Friday evening in the area between Tagensvej and Jacob Lindbergs Vej streets in the Nordvestkvarter district of Copenhagen. No injuries were reported. About an hour later, police tweeted that spent shotgun cartridges had been found at the scene and that they were treating the incident as a major emergency. Copenhagen police inspector Tommy Laursen stated that several people had heard gunshots.

Police were present in large numbers in the area for further investigations, and dogs were also deployed to investigate the area.
