According to the Danish news agency Ritzau, more than 1,000 people have sought compensation for injuries they believe were caused by the Covid-19 vaccine, according to the Danish newspaper Berlingske.
More precisely, the total number of applications reached 1,138. Last year there were 614 applications for compensation, and about 500 cases were rejected, while nearly 600 cases have not yet been decided, according to the Berlingske newspaper.
Of the 32 people who received compensation, ten received compensation due to facial paralysis, six patients due to a blood clot, and there are also cases of inflammation in the heart area and nerve inflammation.
Overall, patient compensation saw an increase in the number of compensation claims last year.
It is worth mentioning that the fourth dose vaccine offers will begin next fall, starting from October 1st, the fourth dose vaccine will be offered to all Danes over the age of 50.
Meanwhile, particularly vulnerable groups will receive the fourth dose starting September 15, including nursing home residents and other at-risk individuals.
