Only three European airports make the new list of the top ten airports in the world out of more than a thousand international airports.

Copenhagen Airport has just been named the ninth best airport in the world in the annual Readers' Choice Awards of the international travel magazine Condé Nast Traveller, one of the most prestigious awards in the travel industry, Copenhagen Airport said in a press release.
Condé Nast magazine selects winners in a wide range of categories, including airlines, cruise lines, destinations, hotels, etc.
Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) tops Condé Nast Airports' list, followed by Istanbul (IST), Hamad International (DOH) in Qatar, Helsinki (HEL), Dubai (DXB), Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS), Hong Kong International (HKG), and Rome Fiumicino (FCO) in eighth place.
After Copenhagen Airport in ninth place, Bangkok's main Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) comes in tenth.
With the exception of Hong Kong, there are direct flights from Copenhagen Airport to the other eight airports included in the top ten list.
32 million passengers this year

In total, Terminal 3 at Copenhagen International Airport will be expanded with a new building area of 60,000 square meters, in addition to the renovation of 11,000 square meters. The new terminal area will include several restaurants, shops, cafes, an outdoor garden and modern baggage handling facilities, and is expected to be completed during 2027.
